Memo to Hillary Clinton: it’s “Evers” not “Evans”

Medgar Evers Medgar Evans
It’s Medgar Evers, not Medgar Evans

At a recent meeting of the Amercan Bar Association, Hillary Clinton mistakenly spoke about “Medgar Evans,” instead of “Medgar Evers.” In and of itself, it’s not a big deal, she misspoke.

What I do think is a big deal is the way the mainstream media (correctly) didn’t pay any attention to the faux pas. Unfortunately, they never used this same amount of journalistic common sense with George Bush, Dan Quayle, and others. Could you imagine the articles that would have been written about one of the Republican candidates for President if they had made a similar gaffe? The media would have used it as sure fire proof that the individual was both dim witted and racist.
