It’s the beginning of the tax season, and many Americans will be receiving “tax refunds.” Thanks to the Earned Income Tax Credit, many of these individuals will be receiving thousands of dollars more than they actually paid in taxes.

I still can’t quite figure out how you can be “refunded” 3 or 4, or more times what you paid. I don’t like this program, but if we’re going to keep it, can we at least call it the welfare program that it is?
