There are no atheists in Congress?
I find it hard to believe that there are 535 members of Congress, and not even one admits to being an atheist I find it highly unlikely that there are no atheists. Instead, there are probably a handful or more who lie to their constituents in order to live up to a stereotype of what a politician should be.
Wouldn’t it be refreshing if politicians were actually honest about themselves? If they lie about such trivial things, how can we expect them to be honest about anything else?
