My random thoughts
Did you know that the USDA doesn’t require applicants for SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) benefits food stamps to disclose their immigration status? To make matters worse, Spanish language fliers were distributed to the Mexican embassy pointing out that the USDA won’t check their immigration status.
The U.S. government is giving tax dollars to law-breakers from other countries, and advertising in their native language. Barack Obama and Democrats are complaining about the cuts brought about by the sequester, yet none have mentioned cutting benefits to illegal aliens.

Today’s fool of the day is U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who says amnesty is a civil right!
“Creating a pathway to earned citizenship for the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in this country is essential. The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented – by creating a mechanism for them to earn citizenship and move out of the shadows – transcends the issue of immigration status. This is a matter of civil and human rights. It is about who we are as a nation. And it goes to the core of our treasured American principle of equal opportunity.”
People like Eric Holder are the reason the United States is slowly deteriorating.

Gwyneth Paltrow is number one on People Magazine’s list of the 50 Most Beautiful People. I think Gwyneth Paltrow is pretty. Beautiful? No, not really. Most beautiful? Yours truly still can’t figure that one out.
Of course, People would probably point out that beauty encompasses more than just physical appearance, which in this situation is complete nonsense. At any rate, the publicity led to lots of mentions about Iron Man 3. Does anyone know if People or the movie share any investors in common?
Here’s a little info you might not have noticed. The current price of gold per Troy ounce is $1453.90, while the price of silver is $23.90. Therefore, an ounce of gold is selling for nearly 61 times as much as an ounce of silver. So, what does this mean? Well, it depends who you are.
If you like silver because it’s a metal that is consumed in many industrial uses, and is a store of value, then the 61 to 1 ratio is meaningful. Historically, it has hovered around the 15 to 1 level.
Just so you know, I’m not offering investment advice, and have no formal trading. I’m just pointing out an interesting fact that the silver stackers might appreciate, or that might be of interest to those looking to get involved in silver bullion. With the way the economy is heading, you need to keep a close eye on these things!
Let’s get this straight: If you accidentally kill 37,000 chickens, you get charged with animal cruelty, but if you kill millions for profit, it’s legal? I think burglary and destruction of property would make more sense.
I’m still troubled by how police entered homes in Watertown without warrants, frisked residents, and forced them out of their homes, all at gunpoint. The Boston Marathon bombings opened a can of worms that will be difficult to close. Big government found a way to take away more of our rights. All they needed to do was sufficiently scare the citizenry, then offer some more convincing at the point of a gun.
If something like this happens again, open the door to the officers and politely ask for a warrant. If they disregard your directions to not come in, then you’ll be the victim of a crime. I’m sure you’ll have no difficulty finding an army of lawyers who are still willing to defend the Constitution.

I learned something today that is quite troubling. Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, mother of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, says America took her kids away.. This is just awful.
From what I read, I thought the Tsarnaevs were “taken away” due to their violence, bigotry, hatred, ignorance, and religious fanaticism. I had no idea we were at fault. Maybe we need to look within ourselves for the betterment of the country. Perhaps we can use those wonderful Tsarnaev boys as role models, since according to their mother, they’re the victims in this situation.

So, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick refuses to allow any information to be released about accused terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s use of public assistance. The same is true of officials at the federal level.
This isn’t surprising, since news of terrorists getting cash assistance, food stamps, Obama phones, Section 8, federal student aid, and other goodies, might actually wake up some of the zombies we call citizens, and inspire them to take an active interest in their bloated government. If taxpayers realized the amount of fraud and poor administration of benefits that existed in the system, it might prevent politicians from attempting to buy off their constituencies so blatantly.

If Jeb Bush decides to run for President and wins, we’re still in big trouble. Like Obama, he would be all for opening the immigration floodgates. Like George W. Bush, he’s an establishment neocon who would stretch our military thin and likely show little or no fiscal restraint.
The only nice thing I could say about him is that he would be better than Obama, but is that really saying much? Even Hillary Clinton, of all people, would be better than Barry Barack Hussein Sotero Obama.

With Mother’s Day less than a month away, it’s time to recognize all the special moms out there. Let’s begin by recognizing Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, mother of accused terrorists Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who had these kind words for her children:
“If they are going to kill him. I don’t care. My oldest son is killed, so I don’t care. I don’t care if my youngest son is going to be killed today. I want the world to hear this. And, I don’t care if I am going to get killed too. And I will say Allahu Akbar!“
With a caring mother like that, It’s hard to believe the Tsarnaev brothers took the wrong path in life. She seems like a sweetheart!

In Ann Coulter’s latest column, she makes a great point. Why do we accept individuals who will drain the economy and risk our safety, rather than immigrants who could actually contribute and enhance the United States. As Coulter puts it:
My thought is, maybe we should consider admitting immigrants who can succeed in America, rather than deadbeats.
But we’re not allowed to “discriminate” in favor of immigrants who would be good for America. Instead of helping America, our immigration policies are designed to help other countries solve their internal problems by shipping their losers to us.
The problem isn’t just illegal immigration. I would rather have doctors and engineers sneaking into the country than legally arriving ditch-diggers.
I’m sure the Tsarnaev brothers would like to thank us, the taxpayer, for helping to fund their terrorist activities. Without gullible politicians and uninformed taxpayers, they wouldn’t have been able to obtain the pressure cookers, nails, ball bearings, and other items needed to kill four people and injure 260.
Citizens of the U.S., are you disgusted that an Amerca-hating noncitizen used your hard-earned money to harm fellow Americans? If you’re equally upset, you should stop voting for statists who want to open the doors for unlimited numbers of the world’s huddled masses to move here, while also ending our dependency on government.

Please check out these videos of law enforcement officers entering homes, searching them, then throwing out the inhabitants at gun point, followed by them being frisked.. Of course, there were no warrants, so all of these searches were illegal in my eyes. Ladies and gentleman, this is what an over-bearing government looks like when it declares a police state..
Here’s what I don’t understand: These tactics weren’t used following 9/11 or the Oklahoma City bombing, which were both more destructive than the Boston Marathon bombing. Why were things being handled so differently? Why was there an army of officers storming homes looking for a single man?

It was very disappointing to read this moment from Rand Paul:
“I’ve never argued against any technology being used when you have an imminent threat, an active crime going on,” Paul said. “If someone comes out of a liquor store with a weapon and fifty dollars in cash. I don’t care if a drone kills him or a policeman kills him.”

I usually don’t have a problem forming opinions. I hear the facts and come up with an opinion quite quickly. However, when the question is whether Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be Mirandized, I’m left grasping for an answer.
Many people, including a great deal of conservatives, feel Tsarnaev should be classified as an enemy combatant. This means no Miranda rights, no right to remain silent, and no attorney present. The argument for this approach is the public safety. Basically, we’re fighting an enemy that is still out there, poses a threat to the public, and assume that the suspect is somehow a part of that threat.
On the other hand, we have a view that seems to be embraced mainly by liberals. This view holds that our system of law is both highly efficient and moral. That our system has persevered since our inception, dealt with the most heinous of crimes, and is capable of being applied to the Boston Marathon case.
If you need more evidence that Marco Rubio is a fraud, just check out this statement about illegal aliens from his spokesperson Alex Conant:
We haven’t had a cohort of people living permanently in US without full rights of citizenship since slavery.”
Slaves? Slaves came here against their will, and were forced to stay in their awful situation. Illegal aliens come when they’re not wanted, then refuse to leave. I fail to see the parallels!

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev violate gun laws?
Right now, I’m in a state of shock. I just found out that the Chechen terrorists accused of planting bombs may have been carrying two handguns and a rifle illegally. I can’t believe something like this happened. Aren’t strict gun control laws, like those found on Massachusetts, supposed to stop criminals from getting their hands on guns?
Could liberal gun control advocates be wrong?
Here’s a point to ponder…
Liberals who want to open the flood gates for immigrants, while ignoring border security, will be unmoved by the Boaton Marathon bombing. They will likely say that you can’t hold millions of immigrants responsible for the crimes of a small minority. Yet, these same people will enact draconian gun laws which prevent honest people from defending themselves because of the actions of a few deranged people.
Is something wrong with this picture?
Thankfully, both of the suspects I the Boston Marathon bombing have been identified, and one is in custody. As the F.B.I. searches for up to 12 others who may have formed a sleeper cell, many questions still remain:
Who is Abdul Rahman Ali Al Harby?

If you remember, this is the “person of interest” who was under heavy armed guard while a patient at the hospital, following the bombing. Shortly after, President Barack Obama had an unscheduled meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister, which was not on his public schedule.
While all this is going on, a deportation order was made for him, citing “Security and related grounds” –”Terrorist Activity.” It can sometimes take months or years to deport someone. Isn’t it funny how all of this happens after a high-level government meeting?

Congratulations are in order for MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, who was named Damien.net’s first “Fool of the Day” for the following comment:
“The NRA’s effort to guarantee that America’s mass murderers are the best equipped mass murderers in the world is not limited to those who use automatic weapons and high capacity magazines. The NRA is also in the business of helping bombers get away with their crimes,” O’Donnell continued. “Gunpowder could be traced by investigators to a buyer at the point of sale if gunpowder contained a taggant — an element that would enable tracing of the purchase of gunpowder. But thanks to the National Rifle Association, identification taggants are required by law only in plastic explosives.”
“The NRA has successfully blocked any requirements for such taggants in gunpowder, so such supremely helpful evidence as taggants are not available to the FBI in this investigation,” O’Donnell said.(more…)
Supporters of the 2nd Amendment had a big victory yesterday when the latest gun control legislation failed to receive enough votes. The only disappointment is that more Senators didn’t support individual liberty.
After the vote, statistic were falling over themselves , looking for ways to describe their anger and disappointment. One of my favorites was Michael Bloomberg:
“The world isn’t perfect, you’re either in favor of continuing the killing and the tragedies or you’re not,” Bloomberg said.
Bloomberg said “children lost” because of Wednesday’s vote and added: “They’re going to die.”
A bit dramatic, don’t you think?

In the following title, let’s substitute the word “white” with any other racially descriptive word, and the media would rightfully cry racism:
Let’s hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American
If the bomber turns out to be white, he will forever be used as an example of why Islamic militants aren’t so bad after all. Can’t you see it now? “White people commit just as many terrorist attacks as Middle Easterners,” they’ll shout.

Once again, the Obama administration seems determined to blame every bad thing that occurs on conservatives. His latest attempt is to blame conservatives for the Boston Marathon terrorist attack (Barry won’t call it what it is, but I will):
“The word has taken on a different meaning since 9/11,” Axelrod said of the phrase “terrorist attack.”
“You use those words and it means something very specific in people’s mind. And I’m sure what was going through the president’s mind is — we really don’t know who did this — it was tax day. Was it someone who was pro–you know, you just don’t know. And so I think his attitude is, let’s not put any inference into this, let’s just make clear that we’re going to get the people responsible.”
When all is said and done, I wouldn’t be surprised if the attack was dome my someone from the Middle East, or a radical Muslim. 9/11, the Fort Hood shooter, the Shoe Bomber, the first World Trade Center attack, etc. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Can someone please tell me why the Department of Homeland Security is planning to purchase 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, and potentially, up to 2,700 armored vehicles? My assumption is that most in the media are afraid to ask Barack Obama or Janet Napolitano. If they did ask, I wouldn’t expect a straight answer, but I would find the response and reaction to be informative.
A victory against big government was won today when a New York judge struck down Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s soda ban. it seems like it was a rather easy decision for the judge to make, since so much was wrong with the law, and how it was implemented.
Now, we need to wait for The next stupid idea from Michael Bloomberg, My guess it that we won’t be waiting long.
